A rare genetic endocrine disease characterized by severe hypocalcemia, , hyperphosphatemia, and impaired secretion of the parathyroid hormone (PTH) by the parathyroid glands (not affecting other endocrine glands). Complications include psychomotor and growth delay, delayed dentition, and cataracts.
